Newly Invented Crumb Rubber Granulator/Shredder
This completely different newly invented crumb rubber granulator/shredder appears to be far superior to anything else of its kind on the market. It looks like the current Cryogenic systems will shortly fall by the wayside.
Rubber Crumb Yield...
Throughput is well over 50 pounds per minute. Data is being reported below as it is accumulated. Please check back periodically for updates.
Most Recently Published Test Run Data…
Test run results are reported in USA measurements.
Test run size: One trailer load of 45,900 pounds of waste tire raw material.
Description of waste tire raw material: 6-8 inch landfill truck tire shreds were used. All original tire wire as well as bead wire was included. The material was muddy, rusty, and contaminated with small metal pieces, rock, and glass. We understand conventional crumb shredders refuse to granulate this quality because it contains far too much tire wire.
Run time from start to finish: 680 minutes (11:20 hours) or 67.5 pounds throughput per minute (4,050 pounds per hour).
Number of runs: The raw material was run through this patented single stage shredder one time.
Electricity used: 2,550 KWH used.
Man power used: Two men used (one skilled and one unskilled)
The output from the shredder consisted of a mix of crumb rubber, cleaned wire, fiber fluff, fine bits of metal, rock and glass dust.
About 31,500 pounds of rubber crumb was in the mix. The balance was cleaned wire, fiber fluff, fine bits of metal, rock and glass dust.
The rubber crumb mix varied from 80 mesh to 3/8th inch in size.
Our conventional material handling equipment screened, cleaned, and sized the rubber crumb to 6 separate silos. Each silo yielded about equal amounts of crumb rubber in volume. The first silo contained 40-80 mesh rubber crumb and the last of the six silos contained 3/8th rubber crumb. The other four silos between were incrementally sized.
The Granulator/Shredder operating temperature was under 250 degrees Fahrenheit (120 Celsius). We believe this to be a safe operating temperature. We understand that wood ignition temperatures are 380-870 (193-466), paper 446 (230), match heads 325 (163), cotton 464 (240), nitrocellulose film 279 (137), #2 fuel oil 494 (257), regular gasoline 700 (371), nylon 887 (475), paraffin wax 473 (245), viscose rayon 536 (280), silk 1,058 (570), and synthetic rubber 590 (310).
Reliable wear and tear measurements cannot be provided because of the wide variety of rubber tires processed and foreign matter fed into the machine. Properly built machines show very competitive wear and tear measurements that far exceed user expectations. In most instances a once a month maintenance schedule is reasonable.
Appraised value and cost of shredder…
Independent appraisals on this newly invented patented granulator/shredder are coming in at around US$1.5 million. It does not cost nearly that much to build it.
This shredder is very simple in design with few moving parts. It is relatively easy to construct. It is possible for anyone who has access to a properly equipped machine shop to construct the shredder.
If you are interested in constructing this shredder for yourself or others please contact us to discuss.
Our license fee is $250,000 per machine with no further royalties. This allows you to construct or purchase and use or sell one machine. Based on our experience the machine would likely cost you $150,000 to $350,000 to construct. If you want us to build the granulator/shredder for you our price is exactly $500,000 license included. For financing click here. This does not include the normal material handling equipment such as a pre-shredder that reduces tires to 6 to 8 inch pieces, classifiers, cleaners, de-stoners, conveyers, augers, etc.

Most interested parties request to see our granulator/shredder in operation. We understand the proper way to handle such tours is by written agreement. We are also asking you to pay us US$1,000 to help cover our expenses. Upon your acceptance of this downloadable letter agreement and payment of our US$1,000 fee, we will provide a detailed tour to you, subject to the terms in the agreement. The reason for this unusual approach in marketing is to protect you and the inventors and to separate the genuinely interested from the curiosity seekers.
